A SHORT WANDER THROUGH COWES

So, I have mentioned on many occasions that I live on the Isle of Wight, which comes alive in the summer with visitors from near and far. One of the biggest events of the year comes to the town of Cowes. That event is Cowes Week, the oldest and biggest sailing regatta in the world. This usually takes place in early August, so before it gets too busy next month, I thought I would take us on a short wander through Cowes.

Lakeside Park Hotel – Spa & Afternoon Tea

There are many positive aspects to living on, yes we say on not in, the Isle of Wight and I will talk more about these in future posts. For now, and for those that don’t know, there is a discount voucher website called The Price is Wight that offers discounted deals on ‘the best things to do, see, visit, eat and buy on the Isle of Wight & beyond – while helping boost local Island businesses’. A little while ago, a group of my friends chose to utilise an offer. The deal was to visit the Lakeside Park Hotel as a way to celebrate one friend’s special birthday.
