Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I very much hope you all had a wonderful break of the Christmas period and are feeling refreshed and ready for 2018!
I, on the other hand, am not feeling so refreshed. Today is it the 10th January and I am issuing New Year greetings! As usual, I am late to the party but I have my reasons. Christmas for me, whilst lovely, was super busy and then everyone was ill. And it is taking forever to go. So, in feeling so awful I just gave myself some time to recover. Not quite there yet but I can't just lounge around not doing anything with my life but playing computer games... well, I could but you know, there is the pressure to adult and all that.
So, I thought I would start with some of the things I would like to achieve in 2018 as a set of goals. There are different types of goals in the blogosphere and I have seen posts where people break their goals down even further and set numbers to grow their social media following etc. This isn't a set of goal like that. These goals are vaguer and are about living my best life.
Commit to yoga practice
I started practising yoga towards the end of last year and I loved it. I lost my way with it a bit in December because everything was so busy but now that we are back in January and I am starting to feel a bit more normal again, I am looking forward to getting back into it. One of the main things I noticed when I was practising daily was the difference in my strength. I could hold the poses for longer, felt more confident and generally felt fitter in life. That was a fantastic feeling and I can't wait to get back to that.
Maintain a bullet journal
This year I started a bullet journal! I have a post and video coming up with explains everything around this but I decided to give it a go and see what all of the fuss is about. So far so good and I hope to continue this to help me stay organised and ahead of my plans.
Follow Slimming World regularly
My main aim for this is to just feel better. Although many people follow Slimming World to lose weight, I also find that following the plan just helps me to feel healthier and more energetic. So this is the main reason. Yes, a little bit of weight loss wouldn't go amiss, but I just want to feel refreshed and full of life. The last few years have been the most unhealthy, in terms of low-level illness, that I have ever had. Probably because I am a bit older now too but I would like to do as much as I can to ward off bugs so that I can stay well. With no steady income, there is no sick pay!
Walk more - Track steps
For Christmas this year I obtained a mechanism to easily track my daily steps. I know others that keep an eye on their steps and I can see that it motivates them to get out. I am also looking forward to the warmer weather so that I can get out and play Pokemon Go without my fingers falling off from the cold!
Collaborate more with other content creators
In 2017, I had my first collaboration with the lovely Bella from Beauty on a Budget and it was great. Really good fun to work with someone on something and also, it did wonders for me in terms of the community of people I now find myself in. Towards the end of 2017, I realised I felt more alone in the world of blogging and YouTube than I had realised and I feel ready to branch out and hopefully build new friendships with my fellow content creators.

Start Project Panning
I came across some project panning videos recently and decided that it was something I would like to try in the new year once I had learned a little more about it. Do more of what makes me happy
This goal is a little vague for me at the moment but it forms part of a bigger plan. I'm all about me, and those around me, being happy in life so it's just more of that really. I love the idea of finding ways to be happy in an affordable and sustainable way.
