With it being the time of year for warm tones, Primark released their own version of a peach palette. As you may have seen in my recent(ish) Primark haul, I decided that I would like to add it to my collection. Inside are 9 warm and wonderful looking shadows.
This is actually the first eyeshadow palette that I have tried from Primark and I wasn’t expecting anything special. Why I was of that train of thought I don’t know because I love lots of other aspects of Primark’s cosmetics line. With cute peachy coloured packaging, this product also sports a sweet peachy scent. You can also find a blush and highlight palette as part of the collection along with lip glosses and nail polishes.
The palette offers the 9 shadows in a variety of finishes including matte, satin, shimmer and metallic. This may not suit everyone but gives a nice balance for a range of looks.
The shadows are powdery and produce a lot of excess when dipping the brush into the colour. However, tapping off the excess works wonders for keeping fall down to a minimum. I always powder my eyelids before using shadows because my eyelids are oily and the oils eat away any product. This provides a velvety soft base and in doing so, these shadows blend easily and evenly. The pigmentation is also great and it doesn’t take much product to achieve a great depth of colour.
In terms of the colours, I tend to use the lighter brown in my crease as a transition shade. Outside of that, I like to play about with other combinations. The video below documents my favourite combination. The darker brown is great for a smokier autumnal look, but I do wish there was something darker still, to allow additional smoky depth.
Having not expected much from the palette, I have to say that I have been pleasantly surprised. This palette is great for the £4 price tag. The fact that I am picking it up daily as my go-to, speaks volumes and I look forward to future Primark finds.
The quality of the palette has encouraged me to try more of the range and I would if we had a Primark on the Island. However, until I can venture across and inspect further Primark offerings, I shall be happy with the sweet peachy scent of this fab eyeshadow palette. Have you tried anything from the ‘Peachy’ range? What are your thoughts? Should I try the rest of the collection?
