Okay, so, immediately we can all acknowledge that this isn’t a mid-year post. We are a little way past that. But, better late than never to reflect on some 2018 goals right? I think so. So, it is time take stock and pay some attention to those goals. How have I been doing?Continue reading “MY 2018 GOALS – MID YEAR REVIEW”
Resharing an old but slightly revamped post on understanding stress reactions today. Because this stuff is important. We all have stress.
As we have previously discussed in this series, stress is an inevitable part of our lives. Key to moving through these times and staying happy is to find ways to effectively manage the negative stress that we experience. For me, the first step is to understand ourselves and recognise where and how we are. So, today I am going to talk about my own experience in the hope that you may find this relatable, or as things to keep an eye on as a preventative measure.Continue reading “HAPPINESS IS… UNDERSTANDING STRESS REACTIONS”
Wow, what a question.
Do you think so? For me, weight loss does, in some way, lead to happiness. For some people it might even be the key to happiness but that isn’t the case for me. I do, however, agree that it can be key when it comes to my confidence and confidence, for me, supports a happier life.
Hello and welcome to the second of my new regular Monday blog spots. If you are a follower of my blogging friend Toni, a.k.a This Mama Blogs, you may have seen that I wrote a guest post for her blog a while back. This, of course, I would recommend reading. The title of the post was ‘staying grateful in a busy world’. It reflected a personal journey of my own, very relevant to what I have to say today. However, once you understand and, hopefully, experience how gratitude can support happy living, you find it doesn’t stop there, does it?
Hello everyone and welcome to Food Friday for this week. Today I thought I would share some updated thoughts on my Slimming World Journey because, well, this is a journey. It has its ups and downs and a journey is never completely straightforward…
I have been making videos and blog content about Slimming World for quite some time now but I haven’t shared my progress. For a long time, I have been someone who knows how to do it but have struggled with motivation when it comes to sticking on plan. I, like many people, was restarting my diet every day! That familiar ‘Oh go on then, I will start again tomorrow’. Anyone know what I mean?
Hello everyone and welcome to my November full-time blogging update. 3 months in and time for a little reflection. So grab a brew, get comfy and let’s see where things are.
Hello everyone and welcome to another instalment of my Happiness is… series. Stress is such a big part of our lives these days, with so many priorities and responsibilities and so relaxation can take a back seat. Even when people try to relax, they can feel lazy, guilty and/or selfish for taking time for themselves. If you are anything like me, you need a measure of both pressure and chill time, and with stress also being such a widespread health concern, we need to forget the negative thoughts about relaxing and accept that we need to achieve some balance.
In my last video called ‘being mindful‘, I talked about mindfulness, and how being mindful is a way to train our emotional resilience. This, in turn, helps us to stay happy. One of the tips I mentioned was to notice the little things and as for me, happiness is… loving the little things, here are some of the little things that I love.
Having introduced my Happiness is… series, and touched the surface of some of the things that can feed into unhappiness, I am beginning my Happiness is… journey with mindfulness. Not all of the content in this series will be about mindfulness, but it certainly has such strong links to practices that can work to increase our happiness.
